Updating Documents

Updates are often released for Rise fixing key errors and updating it with the latest in usability and features.

Understanding updates

Semantic versioning

Rise uses semantic versioning to keep track of updates. This means the major number is incremented when non-backwards compatible changes are made, minor when backwards-compatible functionality is added, and patch for backwards-compatible bug fixes.

MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH
7.0.0 - Major Version 7, Minor Version 0, Patch 0
6.3.1 - Major Version 6, Minor Version 3, Patch 1

Update frequency ⌚

You can keep an eye on our roadmap to see what's being worked on, propose new features and see when updates are coming. 7.0.0 is the last non-backwards compatible version that will be released.

End-of-life (EOL) 🔥

There's no pressure to upgrade immediantly, however a version of Rise is considered 'dead' and no longer supported after it has been outdated by five versions, and by not updating your missing out on the latest in usability and features.
